Hey Guys, If you haven't heard, after a lengthy stay at Vancouver and Auckland, our journey is continuing at the Burwood Spinal Unit in Christchurch. We hope to travel by air ambulance in the next day or two. Will post more details when we get them. Hope to see some Christchurch people soon. Love Tim.
Hi Tim - great to see you looking so well today. We will miss you so much in Aucks but can't wait to come and visit you in ChCh. Safe travelling. Lots of love Jxx
Hi Tim - hope you get down there this week. They're ready and waiting. Be careful with the punch bag I gave you. Only to be used with selected rehab buddies!
Hi Everyone, Still playing the waiting game. Tim is settled and ready for travel. It was very good we were still here for the weekend. Enjoyed our visitors, though sad yet more goodbyes. Hopefully not for too long. Dr Dave phoned Chch ICU yesterday, but alas no. I've decided to live as if we're not going, making achievable goals each day. Like Tim spent about 90 mins in the w/chair yesterday afternoon. And each day he is increasing his time off the ventilator.
This might be the time to break some rules in ICU, then perhaps they'll chuck us out!!! like getting iceblocks out of the freezer. The fridge is in the staff area, where they keep supplies and drugs etc. The nurses used to tell me I could, but then the charge nurses kept telling me off. I've been good for weeks, then a couple of days ago I went for a cup of tea, and met the unit manager on the way out!! Clearly I've got no other inspiring stories just now ...
